Got my VIN from my dealer today but the ETA build date was today I was wondering if this was a auto fill type item or if my car has really been built . Any one who can help would be greatly appreciated.

It's nice to see people still excited about the RX8. I checked the Vin Inquiry and warranty inquiry on your RX8 and in shows in the Vin iquiry but not in the warranty inquiry. So, it is a legitimate Vin #, but until it shows up in the warrany screen, there is no way to tell when it was actually built. by the way, I've taken an automatic home the last couple of days to compare performance with the 6 speed, and even though the performance is not as exciting it still a blast to drive. Almost like a turbine. Around town you can pretty much leave it in 2nd and it will scoot you around from 10 to 60 with no effort at all. The paddle shifters are great, positioned in just the rigt place. If I had to do a lot of in town driving, I'd be hard pressed not to go with the auto. it's just effortless driving.

 

thanx buda! I got to drive the auto and it was great very much fun and hp/lb ratio very close to my 3000gt which is plenty powerful to me.

well I guess that this means I rpobably won't get it until closer to the end of october then huh? was supposed to be before the 10th oct.
