VIN and Engine number Locations

VIN and Engine number Locations
Hi Guys,
Going to look at an 8 that is for sale. Can somebody tell me where I should look for the VIN/Chassis number & Engine number on the Car?
I know that the Chassis number is near the bottom of the windscreen, but is it stamped on the body somewhere?
