well i would assume that a 4 door, 1.3 liter car will be less on the insurence than a 2.0 L, VTEC, 2 door sports car. even if that is a fwd "sports car" that gets no traction off the line (in case you cant tell, i dont like the rsx)

Go Online

Go to Geico's website and get a quote. If I had to guess I would say the RX-8 is probably cheaper, but I guess that depends on your driving record.

i'd say yes. My rx was cheaper than my 03 Ford F150. It's considered a 4 dr sedan. What a great car. I can run you a quote but it probably won't be accurate for your state but it'll give you a pretty good idea.

My insurance went down when I traded in my '03 Protege5 for my '04 RX-8...so I don't know for sure, but the insurance seems pretty resonable.

My insurance for the RX-8 went up about $225.00 a year more than my 93 RX-7.

Not too bad, pretty close to what I expected.

I went from a '01 Acura Integra GS-R (kind of close to the RSX) and my insurance went down - yes I said down - $200/year. Gotta love NJ Manufacturers Insurance.

Clean record doesn't meen anything unless it's been clean for at least three years. I'm 26, and insurnce in Washington State (I think we have the second highest insurance rates) is about $75 a month....$870 every six months for the '04 RX-8, and '04 325i. But that is multiple car discounts, clean record for the last...forever, and through an insurance company that only deals with military personnel.

17 years old with marks on his record? Probably too much, unless your parents pay for it then there's no such thing as too much right!?!

Talking A 97 Jetta cost me more to insure

I traded in a '97 VW Jetta GLS on my 04 RX8, and my insurance actually went down.
It only went down by about $20 / 6mo, ...but it still went down. Go Figure.

It's only fair to point out that I had the dealer install a LoJack system, Which Progressive gives a 20% discount for. Without this, my 8 would have cost me a little more to insure than the Jetta I had been driving. The difference LoJack made in my car payment was less than the difference it made in my monthly insurance premiums, so it was a no-brainer.
