Should I have taken it?
Just walked out on a dealer that went to $26,781 on a 2005 Silver GT-AT?
I felt I could get more for a 05 that was 28880 (invoice) (no MAC financing)
There were no other options.

meh, I think a better deal could be had. I got my pearl GT/MT last week for 26-26.5 + $500 dealer install option free

I got 28,451 out the door (w/ tax, license, registration) for my 2005 Black Manual with Grand Touring.
The rust on the rotor hub is normal. Some people paint the hub to keep it clean.

Three things...
mistakes that I made...
ones I'll be correcting this spring.
1. Silver
2. AT
3. Paying too much
A loaded 2006 can be had for way less then $30K.
A loaded 2005 should be around $25K this spring if you play your cards right.
It's a buyers market.

Two things I have found with most car dealers I have negotiated with:
1. You can always walk away, think about it, and come back and resume negotiations
2. They will always try to tell you someone is coming in tonight interested in the same car
Hope this helps,

If you were not happy with the price you should not have taken it. You'd just be hating yourself and that's no way to start your ownership experience.
I say be cool - find some things to keep you busy and wait to see if he calls you with a (even slightly) better offer.
If you can't be cool, if you really, really want the car - then it's worth $26,781. Go buy it and tell them to dig up the service bulliten for rusty rotors. See this thread:
