Well yes, I did go ahead and buy the 8 and I just LOVE driving it. 2nd and 3rd gears are exhilarating. Houston’s bumper-to-bumper traffic, however, is not!!! I normally don’t travel at rush hour so it isn’t all that bad. I’m in my last semester of law school and this is a nice little gift to myself. I’m quite impressed with how smooth and responsive the car is without modifications. I will say that I wish I had the 8 sitting on the other side of the garage waiting for sunny days and weekends. I have accepted an offer from a firm 40 miles from my house (80 miles / day) which means I will become very familiar with the gas stations between my house and the office.

In short, so far I am very pleased. I have some stereo questions that I plan to post later but exams are coming up in a few weeks and then I have to get ready for the bar so I must hold off on my desires upgrade a few things.

Thanks for all the input.
Here are a few pics although not exactly flattering ones since I was in a hurry to get a few to send to my brothers:

Yes, looks great. Congratulations. I've never seen the brown two-tone leather on a VR. Tires look nice.

Thanks.... I have really enjoyed driving it. It is an excellent "bang for your buck" car in my opinion.
