# of RX-8's available poll

The reason I'm asking is because I was just at my local dealer where I bought my car. They have 5 red RX-8's on the lot for sale already!!! They also had one black one that I saw and who knows how many I missed. This is a fairly small dealership in northeast Ohio too.

Ours had 7 last week before the buy back issue. Five sold before the 26th to get the 500 cash and free scheduled maintenance. Talk about turning a negative into a positive.

I drive by the local dealer every day and have been taking note of how many 8's are on the lot. Before last week, there were 5 sitting right out front. Then, one day 4 of them were gone! Only one left now.

Twenty Six at one of our three area dealerships.

That's why I'm selling it back.

I'm fairly sure I am selling mine back too. It will give me more time to decide between the 350Z and another RX-8. I drove the Z this weekend.

350Z=awesome engine and crappy interior
RX-8=awesome interior and crappy engine

If I could get the 350Z engine in the RX-8, I would be in heaven!

How accurate is the Inventory search function on the MazdaUSA.com website? According to that function, there are 126 RX-8's avaible in 5 dealerships within a 50 mile radius of Cincinnati!! That is alot of car just sitting there.

Nonetheless, dealership around here still want to sell at MSRP. Guess I will wait until they are more amiable to negotiate.

The inventory search includes at least cars "on the water" as mine (due this week) has been on the search inventory page for 2 weeks at least. So no there are not 126 on the area lots. And even some of those on the list may be spoken for. But there seems to be a decent flow of cars on the way.

According to my Dealer's website, they've got 7, including the one they let people test drive.

6sp w/10 miles for $25,700

I was just looking at Autotrader.com and saw that www.theleaseoutlet.com has a 6 speed RX-8 listed for $25.7K or for assumption of payments at $364/mo.

If that's true, that's a damn good deal: Under $26K for a 216HP, 6-speed, four-seat, four-door, rear-wheel drive sporty car! Sounds better than $31,100 (what I paid) doesn't it?
