You should be able to get some money off, as to exactly how much, there's really no way to tell, it can vary a lot by dealer. In general in the continental US right now, you should be able to find $1,400 - $1,500 over invoice without too much of a problem. It's possible to get down to maybe $300 - $400 over invoice, but by no means guaranteed.

you can get around invoice without a problem right now in NY. I had my choice of quite a few cars in my color (titanium/chaparrel/GT) I went with a NYC dealer at $200 over invoice since it was the latest model car I could find- built in dec.

I did have a deal for one with Nav, at $350 under invoice- but the car was built 6 months ago- and since this is my 2nd (due to buyback and very low MPG) I wanted the freshest one possible.
