My fiance has approved my purchase of a 2004 RX-8, so I thought I would finally quit lurking and join all the fun here @ RX8Club.com. :-)

Is anyone aware that Mazda is offering a $1500 rebate through the end of the month when purchasing the 8? I have confirmed this with three dealers in the middle Tennessee area.

I don't know if it will extend into August, so happy buying!

Actually, if you lease the RX-8 for 24 months, there is a total of $4250 in inentives. $2500 for leasing, another $1000 for leasing for 24 months, and another $750 for buying or leasing.

 

Can you explain what lease incentives are, and how they affect the bottom line? thanks.

 

The incentives I listed are Factory to Dealer rebates. Therefore, if you lease an RX-8 this month for 24 months, Mazda will give the dealer $4250. If you let the dealer know that you are aware of these incentives they will more than likely deduct them from the selling price, at lease every delaer I have spoken with will. Hope this helps.

Seems like a heck of a lot of savings! My 8 is still on order and I was planning on buying it, but leasing then buying seems a better deal no? The deal is this, while I wait for my 8 to be built/shipped I see these offers whizzing by and I can't take advantage of any of them? Is the price locked in from the time I've ordered it?
