Protege deals

I have decided to wait on a car instead of buying an RX-8, but my sister needs a car and I think we could get a good deal on a new 2003 Protege since the 3 is now out.

I was wondering if anyone got their eight from an internet dealer, or know a good dealership that might have a few automatic 2003 Proteges they still need to get rid of. (I know, I taught her how to drive stick and she still has 3 burned clutches to her name)

She is in Cincinnati, Ohio and has a POS to trade in, so dealers around there would be prefered, but we can drive or ship for a good deal (otherwise internet dealers wouldn't exist).

Thanks for your info in advance.

The Protege5 is a great car...or does she want the sedan? I had one and it was a blast and very reliable and cool looking!!! Should get some good deals out there. Mine was 2 1/2 years old and I was asking $11,000 in the end. Great car!

best advice would be to go to www.edmunds.com and click the tab to get quotes from local dealers you will most likely find several dealers in your area who are willing to sell the car at invoice. it worked for me in my shopping for the 8. good luck to her.

Mazda has discountinued the protoge, so they are offering alot of instant rebates for them. Go to Edmund's discussion board and see what other people are paying.

I think 11k is kind of high considering the 3k rebate plus you can pick these up for under invoice.
