Possible new rx-8?

Wasup guys, I'm selling my Mazda 6, and looking to get an rx-8, I've found a few local ones with good milage, but the 2 that I want to ask your opinion on are these:

One is a black 04 base model, no leather, no sunroof none of the fancy stuff with 33k on it, 6speed manual. I'm posting this from class so I don't have the link right now, I'll post it up when I get back home. Its listed at 11,500

The second one is a 04 red gt with all the fancy stuff the other one doesn't have, but with 80k on it. Same 6speed manual. 12,000

I think the obvious choice would be the black one with 60k less miles on it, but is there any major difference besides leather, sunroof, bose, heated seats, etc. Vs the gt? Like does it drive any diffrent?

I've read al the so you want to buy an rx8 threads and that stuff, but I don't want to jump into another money pit car like my 6 was. If I spend money on it I want it to because I want to, not because another thing broke. (Yes I understand that this thing drinks oil like gas and I'm fine with that)

The car will be my DD regardless, but what do you say, gt with more miles or base model with a lot less miles? What would the risks of getting the rotary with 80k on it vs a regular car with 80k on it. I know the cat failure plauges these cars just like on my 6 sadly, but is there anything else to worry about with the higher milage?

While it would be nice to have you join us, the RX8 will easily equal the 6 for expense of maintenance. My preference is to go with lower miles and enjoy tacking up my own miles. I also would rather 05 and later but I'm sure there are many nice 04s out there as well.

Have you driven an 8 as yet? The experience is different. Less low ened torque but buttery smooth rpm rise to peak power. Of course the handling is incredible.

Best of luck with your decision.

Paul.

Needs to be manual, and I need to be in it my monday for BS insurance reasons I don't want to get into.

I fell inlove with the 8 as soon as I drove it to the guy from mazmart, and not my 6, 118k, I'm 95% sure the motor was about to go, I'd already gone through one transmission right after I bought it, and the one I bought from you guys (sheldon) is starting to act up. And my 6 is gonna cost a few thousand to keep on the road for inspection stuff, not including the trans and engine issues.

Easy E, I haven't seen a low milage one in stick within 150 miles under 10k in a month, and I have people looking at multiple auctions for me too.
