Congrats! Got to change the sig for receipt of auto!

I'll tell you that after I read your motivating post, I went out and did something about it! The tires have dug little cusps in the icy road from futile attempts of getting it to budge, but I had a plan. I took a couple of rough T-shirts that I never wear anymore and tucked them under the wheels! I whispered a little prayer and let 'er rip. It was enough to get out and get some momentum! So now I'm in the middle of the road, too close to my drive, so I back up.. so slippery! My rear end going all over but now I'm situated for the attempt to plow up my steep but reasonably dry driveway (thanks earlier to my dumping snowmelt, letting it set for 8hrs, and shoveling every scrap of white stuff off it).

Now for the point of no return: I couldn't go too fast, but going slow when you're still new to the car and rusty on a stickshift AND on icy conditions (with the damn summer tires no less) is iffy business! My road is shaped like an upside down U so going over too far for the turn in and I'd be stuck again. So I slowly drive up and ease it into the cleavage of the huge mounds of snow from the city's poor snow removal service and held my breath as I thrust it up the ramp. I let out a sigh of relief as I finally reached the climax of my drive, I've waited and prepared 2 whole days of this since I had her. A little smarts and manipulation and I was able to drive my 8 home, 8 = car btw.

I had to use the t-shirt trick again because of more ice on the flat of my drive, just to get over the hump into my garage, lol.

Anyway, my sig is updated. Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. I'm finally official, and proud to be a member of this awesome site.
