Cheers

I will say that the part numbers are different (only by one letter). From the pic I have, they look the same as the 2008 cat.

Wow, lots of cool new features. If only it didn't look absolutely brutal.

So, if I'm interpreting this right, the new top of the line trim level only comes in red, blue, or black?

So much for my thought of getting a silver one...

Nice layout on the color combos for the 2009 RX-8. Looks like Mazda added another black to the lineup.....I wonder how it's going to differ from the brilliant black.

Its a remote starter with security feedback and other stuffs, it tells you if your car has been breached and to what level, which lights up the proxi field thingy, even if your far away...

Its says the 8 gets the same propeller shaft.... They have alot of info and pictures that repeats itself from the previous rx8s for people who are just buying.

I cannot wait until US dealers can order the 19" forged wheels. I don't generally spluge on mods for cars but those darker wheels will look spectacular on my VR 8. They are gonna cost an arm and a leg but I want them.

Curb weight is now being quoted at 3064 whereas Mazda previously quoted 3053 for the 2008 (man that number's gone up since release hasn't it?). Keeping in mind this is curb weight and so includes the extra gallon of gas, which is 6 pounds, that means this makeover only added 5 pounds of extra stuff from the 2008. Interesting, I was afraid the weight would go up more than that.

wonder where they shed the lbs from. Either way, pretty impressive job adding that stuff and only adding 5lbs.

I'd be curious to see how much the seats weigh.

Do we know how much the R3 is going to cost? Is it going to be about the same as the Grand Touring or more?

No they listened to your DAD.

Stop trying to take all the credit Obeewan.

The RS3 is worth the upgrade for most people.

Unfortunately I do not like any of the exterior changes.

I'd still like to know how the expect more performance with the 4:77 and better gas milage

Yeah, but I suspect that the 3053 is for a GT, rather than a Base/Sport...

Right, and so is the 3064 quoted for the 2009. The 2008 GT gained a bit of weight due to the standard 6 disc CD changer.

I feel bad, since I absolutely love the exterior changes. Pretty much, everything they did to the 09 is what I wish I had. In all reality, it doesn't matter, as I <3 mine. *hugs*

shock sensor only an option for base and touring? does that mean it is already in the GT and r3? I didn't see it listed separately.
