Offered two deals, what do you think?

I've just started asking around for prices and have two offers, one for a '06 Shinka for $25,500 (post rebates) and a '07 GT for $29,000 (no rebates offered). My problem is, tomorrow is the end of the month when they need their sales in. If I don't accept an offer by tomorrow night the rebates may change (dec. rebates get revealed) and I'll have to start over.

Any advice?

I would wait until Decemeber, it is the last month of the year and they need to get their sales in this month to make quotas for the year. This is what I am doing so i can get a great deal on a rx-8.

How much money is it worth to be driving the 8 for a whole month instead of waiting until the end of December?

1,000,000.00!

Not having any other info and if both are new, I'd say take the 06 Shinka cuz it has a 4 year + warranty vs the 07's three year.

Doesn't seem like they will take away the rebates on 06's if you wait . IMO

I think $25.5K for the Shinka is a solid deal. When I was shopping around dealers did not give any discounts to Shinkas.

Shinka's are all the 06's they have left. What he told me about the warranty was the 06 had a 4yr bumper to bumper while the 07's had a 3 yr bumper to bumper but a 5 yr powertrain. Since it's usually the engine people are concerned with here, I'd be happy with either one I think. Both are new (though I'm not sure their exact milage yet) and I don't know yet if the shinka is pre or post the last recall manufacture date that affected some of the 06's. jimbo99, you are probably right about the rebates not going away tomorrow on the 06's. They need to get rid of them someday.

The extra year on the power train includes the 2004-2006's so you get 5-years on an 06 power train too!.

Yeah that's a pretty good deal on the Shinka, better than the '07 GT deal hands down.

Thanks for all the advice guys. As great as that Shinka deal was, it turns out I didn't like the beige interior (They offered to swap it for me but it would cost me a bit more) and the white exterior lost it's appeal when I saw another color I wasn't considering before in person. So I ended up spending a bit more on an 07 GT but I think I'll be happy with it and I still got a decent deal (though the Mazdaspeed kit will now have to wait).

I think that Shinka is still available from the dealer I'm talking to, if anyone wants to buy a car in CA, PM me.

Er...no offense, but, why didn't you buy an new 05 or 06? There are quiete a lot of them still left on the lots, more 06's than 05's obviously, but still...you could have saved a good 4 grand if not more, MS kit right there...
