Just got an e-mail from a dealer I'd been talking to. E-mail said there were new incentives, and came down about $ 750. Anyone know anything about it?

edmunds says that they are doing $1500 back on 2004 models, but that's all I've seen.

The inference at least is that this is in addition to the $1,500 rebate - which is all I could find. I'm really thinking the dealer knew he was high so he's coming up with some story to try & save face.

 

I purchased mine the end of OCtober and recieved $1500 from Mazda and the delaer even gave me their dealer incentive of $2500. They get the incentive from Mazda, The delaer wanted it off the lot to bring in the 05s. Needless to say I got my Velocity Red/Loaded for over 2000 below invoice.

 

I suspect you're correct. Just purchased a 2004 GT and found that dealer quotes varied by about $1100. ($27.1K to $28.2K.) Each claimed to be giving me the benefit of all the rebates offered. I quoted the lower offer to one of the higher dealers and his response was..."Well, make me an offer."

I preferred to deal with the dealer who had given me his best price when I asked.
