New Owner needs advice

As of tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a 04 GT with 40K miles, however my question to you guys is do I need to purchase an extended warranty?
It cover s everything the factory one would for an additional 3/36,000 for an extra
$2000 is it worth it? Should I bother? Advice and opinions would be greatly appreciated

Warranty is always a good thing.

Okay, but WHY? what do I have to worry about concerning this car specifically that this would cover? What problems have you members with the 03's-04's experienced, if any?

I have had zero problems, but you never know.
When my mom bought her camry a long *** time ago, after 30K miles the engine fucked up and they had to replace the whole thing, and its because of warranty we were safe or else we would have paid a **** load.

Yeah, the warranty is a small price to pay; you will be thanking yourself for buying it should something major happen. I have an 04, no problems, but I also have a good warranty, just in case.

i disagree here. i don't believe in extended warranties. i'd have someone check the car over really well before taking ownership of it which you should do regardless of the extra warranty. you still have 10K miles where you can get warranty work and after that another 10K on the powertrain. unless you think you're going to incur $2K worth of warranty work in that time period i think it's a waste. if you do get it make sure you know exactly what is covered and what is not.

it never hurts to have a little extra protection nowadays when problems do come up it is no better feeling than to know that wro covered your *** when your back pocket could not.i only need to say be sure that if or when you get the extra that 1.read,read and read top to bottom.and if you have questions?askthem and have the answers docomented.there is nothing worst than going to the service department about wro that you don't have.covered.mostly it's an needed thing to have on the back burner to save you when the need is needed.that said 40,000 miles $4,500 in repairs 0 paid by me and lovin every second of it!need more i think not.enjoy your car and get the little extra that keeps on getting better! headlights front and rears hids.(condesation)trans.blew intenal problems mazda called the trans back to japan?clutch blew pressure plate or vis vera mazda covered it at 30,000 miles.i am glad that they (the dealer) took the time to show me that i did nothing wrong as far as driving habits and showed me the trans had metal shavings in it.the flywheel was clean of hard driving and the clutch had plenty of life left.some people have dealers that rip them a new one but i am glad my dealer takes care of me even when i do all of my oil and filter changes and service work non wro.10k 20 k 30 k etc.etc.the extra wro is a great thing to back your wallet up unless you got cash to burn!
