new here and thinking about getting a 04 rx8

right now im looking at a 04 sunlight silver with factory lip kit and corksport exhaust for 8500. its an auto but its ok since my wife and brother are gonna learn how to drive. its from a dealer and im gonna trade in my 95 accord for it. theyre gonna give me 3000 for my accord but since i still finance it im not sure how that works so could someone please tell me how that works?? lol

anyway, the car has 96000 miles and it runs perfect especially with the corksport muffler..sounds nice. only thing wrong is that the front wheel cover flaps against the wheel when on high speed but that easy fix..

so help me and is that trade plus finance worth it? also, how will it work on payment since i still finance my accord and i just trade it in? lastly, educate me about rotary..lol thanks

What state do you live in?

The rotary runs real hot and Autos have problems.

That's simple
Loan on Honda
minus 3000

any balance left will be added to the sales price.

You should be able to get that car for 7500 to 7000 with that type of milage.

I personally would get a 2006 or newer Automatic for an RX8

Before you buy... it will cost you 100 to 150 bucks for a compression test.

It must be done at a MAzda dealer. The have a special unit and instructions.

Don't let them bullshit you that they can or any mechanic can preform the test.

If you live in and/or around area's of Las Vegas and Phoenix, don't buy the 04'. That year does not have the cooling system needed to withstand the triple digit summer months. My 04' had 4 motors replaced within 2 years. My 06' is currently having 2 coils replaced and only have just over 37,000 miles on it. I've been told they fixed the cooling issue in the 2009 by raising the motor higher to fit a larger oil pan.
