Hi guys just got home in my 05 rx8, coming for a 04 350z. For some odd reason i just like the rx8 better although the performance is not up to the 350z I like the car. But just wanted to welcome myself to the community.

Both cars have their high points. I had the opportunity to purchase a 350Z and I still went with the 8. IMO, the 8 is a better handling car with room for 4 and a unique engine. The 350Z may be faster, but that's it for me. Good choice in the swap! Enjoy the car.

My brother has a 350Z and I've driven it. The torque/horsepower is impressive and other than the belt-buckle door handles, the styling is pretty timeless. Visibility was lacking, if I recall correctly. The 350Z really wasn't even an option for me, though. Unlike my brother, I wanted/needed something that could seat more than two. I really liked the look of the Infiniti G35, but after driving it and later (that same day) an RX-8, I was much more pleased with the RX-8.

I did get use to the visibilty issues, i just flat out got bored with it. I had a 300zxtt before katrina took it away, in which i spent a lot of money to build to hold a lot of boost, and I just couldn't see doing that with the 350z. The cost for motor build with the lower compression pistons, valves and all that good stuff is just outragous, so i figure why not try to turbo the rotary, no need to rebuild with differnt pistons. I'll have to do some reading on here when I more time but thanks for the welcome guys.
