Mazda Extended Warranty- Prices Paid

Anyone out there purchased/aware of a Mazda dealer where you can purchase the Mazda TotalCare extended warranty at discounted prices? I bought a Honda extended warranty from an Acura dealer online, at a big discount, and saved almost $600 over what the dealer wanted. I'm looking at an RX-8, and want to get the 6yr/100K mi warranty, and am wondering whether any of you got a deal, and if so from who. Thanks!

I shouldnt tell you this, but oh wells..

Try online car warranty deals, they by far are much cheaper than Dealers

Dealers will always make money off you, and lets just say.. many of my customers come in, and complain that my dealership charges high, but we give a flat rate.. there is no negotiation at all.. where as other dealers, may give you here and there off, but what customers dont realize is. they are making up the difference in the price of the car..

Good luck

I obtained three quotes and am still thinking about it.

For 6yr/100K mi I found quotes from $1300 to $3200. The Mazda quote was $2700. The specifics of the policies varies quite a bit. Generally I think they are insurance plans.

I don' t know about these web pages, but here are some links:

Big list, few details

Smaller list with some information:

Can some clarify for me if I can buy the Mazda Extended Protection Plan say a week after I've purchased the vehicle? Or do I have to buy it while I'm purchasing the vehicle?

Ok talked to Mazda Extended Protection Plan customer service (18772388172), and they said that you can purchase it later i.e. up to the point where there is still one month left on the factory warranty and 1,000 miles left on the factory warranty. Plus If you purchase Mazda accessories and install them yourself, the part will be covered under warranty, however, the labor will not be covered. If a Mazda dealership installs the Mazda accessories both the parts and the labor will be covered under the warranty. But I'm sure you already knew that.
