so first off its in great condition, 2 things though, it seems to be shaking a little more then it should, and second its a special type of engine by mazda it is still the Renisis engine but has something else written on the engine cover i can't recall what it was though. can anyone help out?

 

Shinka? The vibration might just be the motor mounts, ask the dealer to look into it.

^ there were no Shinka's in 2007 (only 2005 and 2006) and that was never on the engine cover anyway.

I'm unaware of any engine differences from 2004 - 2008 ("Series I"). Perhaps someone modded the engine cover tho' with unique graphics.

As cited, vibration is usually worn engine mounts. Fairly easy to replace yourself, but the seller should prior do so.

I believe they sold the 40th Anniversary Edition that year. Did it have a two-tone leather of red and black? That model featured the urethane injected crossmember and stiff Bilstein Shocks, I think...

 

It isn't red/black leather in the 40th. All RX8s had that. 40th was just red leather and a 2008 model.

 

there's no "special type" of renesis from the factory. what do you mean by engine cover? as in the removable plastic cover under the hood? anyone can modify that to make it look like anything. if you mean on the engine housing itself, it could be a reman
