Unhappy I Wants It... It's My Birthday...rx8 Rx8!!!

Hello my fellow RX-8 owners. i just applied for a $32000 loan at my ferderal credit union, which is a 5.9% 72months @ $530.00 a month, but my question is.
I'm still paying $12,301.75 for a 2000 dodge caravan If I'm approved for this loan
and I trade-in my van does the dealer pay the $12,301.75 leaving me to just pay the $530.00 monthly on the RX8?... MAN I WANT AN RX8 SO BAD ITS JUST KILLING ME. Also how much are u dudes paying for insurance!

Assuming you get the dealer to payoff that 12,301.75 . If they do not payoff the full amount you will either have to get a lesser RX-8 or put money down to get you out the door at 32,000.00

... or restructure the financing with your credit union to include the amount you're upside in your caravan, i.e. higher payments. I know you want the RX8 bad, but 5.9% is pretty damn high, especially when drawn out over 72months- it sounds to me like the RX8 would be really stretching your budget.

As I mentioned in a previous thread, you should really consider selling your van privately, as you'll save thousands over the having the dealer bend you over for your trade. I know it's hard, but have some patience, do this the right way, and you save bunch (enough to finance at a normal period of 48 or 60 months and hopefully a better rate).

Good luck...

Seeing how you currently own a Caravan, either

1. you have a wife and kids

2. you have to haul stuff around because of your business or the nature of your job.

That's a very weird move, going from a Caravan to an 8.
