i need your opions please!

hey so im new to the club and ive been looking for a rx-8 fora while now and i think i found a steal. so a Mazda dealer here in Ottawa has a 2004 rx-8 gt fully loaded with nav for 10,000 it has 100k, i thought it was a lil to much but i went the other day to check out the car and it wasnt there..... the guy informed me that they were doing a motor swap. they were swapping in a new motor from Mazda because the older one was not suited for sale. and he said they will give me the car for 9200 cash sale with and additional 5 year 100k warranty...... to me it sounds like a steal just needs some ones opinion before i go buy it.

thanks guys

Have the dealer put the car on a lift and walk under and inspect it for leaks, rust, or other obvious damage. Make sure you get that warranty too. 100K miles is a lot for these cars but if they're willing to throw in a warranty it should be ok. Normally I advise against dealership warranties though and personally I'd get one from someone else.

hey so the car only has 100,000 km. not miles, but they are gonna install a brand new motor in it, i will deff get them to put on the lift for me, but the body and interior are mintt. they also have three techs that are supposedly really good with rotary's, one guys said if i buy the car, when they are done putting the new motor in they are gonna to flash the ecu with the new map from mazda i think its like m or n? cant remember. he said gets rid of fludding issues and helps gas mileage.5 years and 100k warrents sounds pretty good to me and for 9000 cash ( cnd ) sounds good to me, but ill get them to put on it on a lift tomorrow when i go in to take it for the second test drive.

do you guys think its a steal? i just want some opinions and i appreciate the ones i got
i just want to know if i should buy or keep looking.

thanks guys =)

It does sound like a good price, but as always I would be skeptical as to why it's such a steal. Dealers don't lose money EVER. Not saying that this isn't a good deal, but I would honestly question it further as others have mentioned.
