I didn't read through the whole thread but wow. RX8's are nice, imo.

The gas mileage isn't great, but so what? Put in a few more hours of work and keep the thing. I bet you'll regret buying/trading for anything else. RX8 is a piece of art, you are lucky to own one, yet you seem to be panicking for some reason. Don't make any quick decisions, really think it through.

I think that's why some people are giving you ****.

How much did you buy it for? what is the milage and opinions?

anyways the gas difference isnt that bad especially when u are not driving much.

Civic fuel cost 1390$ per year
Rx8 fuel cost 2500$ per year

So that is about 1000$ difference if you drive ALOT. If you dont drive much you might just have a 300-400$ difference...GET A JOB or get few extra hours...

Really? If someone broke in and stole it, why would your rates go up? It's like if you get into an accident and it's not your fault. Your insurance won't go up...

we all have made a few bad calls here and there on our journey of growing up.at times we listen to other people besides our parents to give a side insight of whats the best thing to do.a lot of times this can make one feel better or worst!the best we should say is tell your parents what a bad call you made and i am sure they sooner or later would understand you .maybe it's just me because i always bought and worked for what i have and thats a little defferent then his problem but i still made the mistakes my freinds warned me about.a lttle guildance go's a long way in life when you might some day need to reach out yourself!

If your really not happy, try to sell it privately. No matter what, your going to lose a lot of money.

ekkkk, how much did your parents pay for the RX-8?
You could sell it and or trade it for something else.
Unless they payed more th $17K, then you're screwed.
