That's a lot of miles... I'd try and get an extended warranty as well.

 

is this dealer or private party and where is it located? as for the mileage, that shouldn't be a surprise. when you're buying a car with 60k miles it's not like that is a fact being hidden. it depends on how much risk you're willing to take since it is now outside of even the powertrain warranty and whether or not all of the recalls and TSBs were done. there are too many factors to help you out with the limited info given.

 

I will be buying from carmax, i work there and this is my employee price. I will have the maxcare extended service plan, which covers everything from engine to transmission to water pump. the car is in mint condition with one owner. should be covered for the next 60k miles. and i am located in hamden ct

 

nice to have another one so close - i'm in milford, ct. i'd say with that kind of warranty you should be good at that price. i would just have it checked by a third party first to make sure nothing funny will show up. i know you work for carmax but you want to cover yourself. you may not be working for them in a year or two when something happens and they may not be as willing to help you then.

and if you do buy, check out the NE regional forum. if you want to tint we're getting a group together to do it this weekend. and even if you don't you can pop down to milford and see a few other owners. feel free to join even if you don't buy.

 

I wont have it buy this weekend, but when u guys meeting up i might be able to stop by. And i could buy it then i have 5 days to return it no matter what and a 60 day warranty.

 

I bought an 04 last week with less than 31,000 miles. 6 speed, Grand touring, moonroof, 6 disc, etc for $15,700 in Dallas. 30k service had been done as well as all recalls. Bought off eBay.

I just got an 04 a few weeks ago with 7000 miles on it but paid 21K for it.
