Has any one recieved their Debit Card from Mazda as yet? I was informed it takes 8 weeks for processing....

I called today and they confirmed they got my letter for free service and said 3 to 4 weeks til I get 500 card

 

It looks like, after reading another thread, that they won't be sending them out until after Oct 1. I guess they're waiting for all the responses to be sent in first.

I was thinking of making it into a gas card

 

The guy I talked to today at RX-8 orders customer service (Mark, maybe? I forgot to ask for his name again before I hung up)said they should be sending them out any day, and there was some weird delay on getting the cards to the vendors. He said it was American Express. I would have picked Visa/MC, but I'm not going to complain about $500 for free, so I'll deal.

...i'll prob go for an intake - any longer though and I'll just have to make a short ram myself.

Called Mazda last friday, they said another 4-6 weeks :-(..I did complain, resulting in a free oil change at 3000. Not bad.

 

I just called today. They said mid to late October for the free maintenance card and late October to early November for the debit card.

 

That sounds about right.

i got the official response from mazda today saying i would be getting the $500 and free maintenance and it will be 4 to 6 weeks from now until i get the $500 but the letter said if i need maintenance before then just show the letter to the dealer.

EDIT only problem is my wife wants the $500 lol

recieved mine friday also. I expect we will be recieving our cards about the same time then.

 

Recieved the $500 card today. Its a reward card and has some restrictions.

 

I received my card today too. It has some minor restrictions but you can use it for internet purchases as long as you don't go over the $500 (they call them "points"...silly word game). To a vendor on the internet it looks like an AMEX card.

 

Just got mine today, will get spent soon. I note a May, 2004 expiration date, though.

As others have stated, it has some restrictions but, no more than a typical AMEX card. Mine has an exp. of June 04.
Guess they're want it used up asap.

I already used it for some gas and 6 LED bulbs for my 8

 

Time to start buying - lets see, caliper paint, bulbs, zaino, beer, women...did I miss anything?
