Good buys?

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the whole RX-8 world, but I test drove one the other day because I'm looking for a new car, and honestly I never wanted to leave the car. So I've been doing mounds of research on the 8 and I found two that seemed to be fairly priced. But I just wanted to see what others inputs were on the two 8's I found. I know I'm going to have to ask all the questions about the engine, warrenty, and ask if it can get compression tested etc..

Here's the link to the first one I found: http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/2533653270.html

And the second one:

Others might have differing opinions, but I would not buy a sportscar used. Especially one like the RX series which seem to have engine troubles as they age. As these are 2004 and have quite abit of miles on them (though they were probably wintered I assume) I personally would not risk it. Also warranty will be running out soon (on the extended 8 year) so if you do go for it, I would find one that at least has all its servicing paperwork (which perhaps one of these do) so you can see if it was serviced regularly.

Having said that, I really like my RX-8. I have driven a few cars over my short life and this by far and away is just plain fun to drive. Yes it could do with a bit more kick off the line but revving all the way to 9k, the handling, the smoothness of the engine and even the look are all fantastic.

The 2004 with 59,000 miles for $9,000 seems like a pretty good price. Get a car fax report, compression tested, and ask for service history before you buy it though.

Regardless of what anyone says, there's nothing wrong with purchasing a used Rx-8. It just depends on the owner before hand and how well he took care of the maintenance of the vehicle. Rx-8s are made to be driven hard, this isn't your regular hyundai.
