Does this sound like a good deal?

hey guys....

well we did it - traded our 04 6spd sports pkg in for an 05 AUTO (I know, "wimp", but my husband will be driving it 80 miles per day to work through about 40 red lights - he's missing the 6spd already but this is more "practical" for everyday even if its not as much fun).

anyway - 04 had sports package only and 18,200 miles and was perfect.

05 AUTO is a GT with red/black lthr - no NAV, no XM

sold us the 05 GT for $27,500 and gave us $20,000 for trade. Started over with pymts again but for only$20 more per month than paying on the 04.

sound like we did pretty good?

Dealer cost on an AT 05 with just GT is $28, 278 (less a little over $500 in dealer holdback). So if no other options, you can see what the dealer made on that part of the deal.

KBB and Edmunds both show a high mile 6mt 04 with just sports pack should bring just under $20k in trade.

If you had looked and found a left over 04, new on the lot with 6mt and just sports pack you could have gotten it for about $23k NEW. So getting $20k for yours with 18k on the clock seems like a nice price.

Overall, I think you done good!

BTW, I hear you on the AT. I have nothing but manual tranny cars (and a manual truck). A couple of years ago I had a gout attack in one foot and just about could not drive.

I am resisting the idea, but at some point I will have to give in and get an auto tranny car for the daily grind
