Hi guys,

I was wondering if somebody can help me out with this one.

I bought my RX8 about 7 months ago and the car has been exactly what I was expecting, which is: a f-en awesome car . My problem is not the car, but the rebate that I was suppose to receive by now.

I've been hassling my dealer and mazda corp for this rebate for a few months now. I've faxed over all information including sales order form, copy of degree, copy of cash back rebate form...I've sent them everything they've asked for and I still haven't received the check in the mail.

I called them last week to find out what was going on and they were just dumbfounded and wondering why it wasn't sent out yet. So they decided to just reprocess the whole thing and hopefully (they say) the check will be sent out.


I don't know...these guys keep giving me the run around and I'm just tired of it.

What should I do next??? ANy ideas???

I was never even told about the rebate when I bought my RX-8 last September. Does anyone know if I am I still eligible?

UPDATE: I just contacted Mazda and found out that I'm still eligible! Wooohooo! Now I just have to hope that my rebate actually gets processed. Considering the dispute I had with the selling dealership, I wouldn't be surprised if they "accidentally" misplaced my rebate form.

 

I got my rebate instantly put towards the purchase of the car. :P

 

The day I purchased my car, I gave my dealer all the paper workthey needed and told me that they were faxing everything over and I was going to receive a rebate in the mail within a couple of weeks.

8 months later, having sent the paperwork twice now, I still haven't received my $500 check.

I think they're trying to play me as a fool...THose a-holes!!! I'm not quiting until I get my money!!!

Ya, I saw them just knock off the $500 right there. I was surprised since I was haggling with them to throw in additional stuff AFTER the final price was negotiated, like strakes, accents, etc... small stuff, and they said yes to all of them without having to change the price. Oh wells.
