Hey guys,
Looking to join the actual 'owners' club within a month or so; until then I'm just a jealous observer.

2 Questions.
1) The mazda college incentive program ends 6/30. This is a bit earlier than I would buy ideally, but it gives me $500 off (pretty decent discount). Will they extend this? The dealer said they have in the past, but said they might not (typical dealer stuff trying to put me in the car ASAP). Any thoughts on their likelihood to extend?

2) GAP insurance -- worth it? A legit-looking place online was offering it for $300 for length of ownership... Would sure be nice to avoid a horror story like has happened to some people in the standard forum...

They definitely did extend the program (yay!). Mazda's US page reads that it applies to cars sold before 12/31/2004.
