ooh rah! haven't had a good battle in a while; time to get it out of my system. I sent them a nasty email last nite and to his credit, the senior sales mgr called me first thing this morning. Not surprisingly, this is all news to him and he promises to clear things up. His belief is I should get BOTH the $500 college grad rebate AND the $250 loyalty rebate. Now THAT would make me a happy camper. I'll believe it when I see it and let you all know.

they said they varified with Mazda that the college grad rebate does not apply to the RX8 because of being a 2004 model... however they gave me a $500 dealer discount off of the sticker price without even having to say a word

 

Got mine today, too! The dealer agreed to cut me a check for $500, and when the rebate comes in they get to keep it. I'm a happy camper. I'm not getting the $250 "loyalty" rebate since I'm not a repeat Mazda buyer, but I'm fine with $500.
