Base Quote
I was quoted this on a base RX-8 6 Speed Manual not including destination and tax tag title fees.
MSRP: $27,435
Invoice: $25,617
Internet Price Special: $23,500
Powertrain
Engine: 1.3L Rotary w/238 Horsepower
Transmission: 6-Speed Manual Overdrive Standard
Optional Packages As above
Appearance Package $775
MT Sport Package $1,118
MT Touring Package $2,559
MT Grand Touring Package $3,656
Does this look like a good set of pricing?? So far its the best I have gotten.
Thanks in advance!

hold out for more
Just as a reference... I got 22,000 on a base out the door. In other words, the price included tax, tags, and title. It was for an 04 though and I bought in February, new.

Hey Tremor!
Good info. I Got the same email (exactly) from Russell Mazda! Are you in the Bay area? I just drove a base 6 spd and a Touring 6 Spd today at Ferman Mazda. They were not even close on price btw. $24,300 + TTL on a white base.
Car was nice but didn't seem too inspiring, maybe it was 3 people on the test drive, I don't know. I think I will wait for more incentives, but my wife sure did like it...
Strange since she HATED my EVO8.
Well, I got my 1st post out of the way!

Glad you asked...
Well that quote was also including $2000 in trade allowance...read the fine print...so their price was no better than any of the local dealers. Also they didnt want to give me what my trade was worth. I had kelly blue book values and they were 5000 below that. I wouldnt deal with Russell after the numbers they were trying to throw my way. Its all marketing hype.
Wait for the rebates...the car is not selling like it should...no marketing...etc. Then youll be much happier with the purchase.

Amen to that brother!
I just read the fine print again. That is pretty shady..."trad allowance" (sic) is undefined and ambiguous at best.
I guess we will just have to be patient with the rebates. Mazda USA are you listening?
155 RX8's with in 40 miles of Tampa. 26 at 1 Ferman lot alone...
It looks like at least 2 buyers walked this weekend due to pricing.
