August Incentives?

Anyone hear about the August incentives? I am looking at buying an 05 in the first week of Aug and am curious as to what they will be offering then? Speculation works as well as any info on what they did last year? Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

last year they started giving $1000 cash rebate on '04s around september, and then bumped it up to $1500 by November

don't remember they actually had any non-financing related incentives back in august '04 :o

If you can possibly do it, I'd wait til maybe Sept./Oct. Especially when the '06's come out. You may find some pretty great deals on leftover '04's and better incentives on the '05's. Just my opinion of course. :D

They only announced July incentives about a week ago here. They seem to wait until the 3rd week of the month to announce that month's incentives (at least on Mazda Canada's site they do)

You can't compare this year with last year because inventory levels are way higher and sales are down considerably. It also looks like Mazda's holding back a good month or two on the '06s to give time to clear the lots, especially after the stop order on sales for almost the entire month of July.

They'll be at least $1000, the same as this month, and very likely could be higher since they were unable to sell cars for a month. I'm expecting $1500 but it's pure speculation. Mazda, with good reason of course, keeps upcoming incentives very secretive until they are posted online.

Actually - incentives are better

Actually the Aug incentive seems better than June and July. They bumped up the MF for August, but increased the Residual to 60%. So the base car deal is the same, but any car with options will have a lower monthly payment. Residuals for June and July were 59% and 56% respectively.

Only if you are leasing - for those paying cash or financing they deal looks the same. The change in residual and MF = same payment for the base car, what that does to one with options would have to be calculated. Even then, the difference might be better for someone who wants to buy the car at lease end (favoring the lowest residual) VS someone who wants to turn it in and walk away.

yes I was referring to the purchase incentives...
I cant wait much longer...gonna have to go try to negotiate a little more...my trade in is the problem. I dont want to tack too much onto the price of the 8 but I may have too. Also I plan on financing thru Mazda and then refinancing at the bank where I work so that will help ease things. Planning on buying Black base no options necessary, I will add as I want.

Get the sports pack at a minimum - just over $1,100 dealer cost but WELL worth it. HID headlights, DSC (a must have), and fog lights. It is the best bargain package available - and you could never "add as you want" this stuff for $1,100.

What is the current MF for a lease (top tier credit)? The MNA website incentives pop-up doesn't specify it. Thanks.

The incentives are only on '05's. Go to the Mazda size- it says "2005 RX8" and then lists the incentives. So you can't preorder an '06 and get these deals. Plus, you'd have to pay for it this month to get them anyway.

I think he just wants to know if he can order one, not what the incentives are.

And, yes, the dealers just got their initial allocation sheets. You should be able to order one now at your dealer.
