I have been thinking of trading in my 04 gt AT with 20k. I keep seeing leftover 05's 6spd for very low 20's. My pay off is 14k would it be worth it just because I want a 6spd? Need advice

 

Doesnt sound that crazy. when i was first looking at rx8s most of the excellent deals that I found were all on ATs and I was just like "no" if im going to be buying a car and making payments etc. i want the MT. When I finally found my 8 knew it was the one and I love having a manual vs my civic which was AT

 

Funny you should ask...
I just traded my 04 AT (with < 8K miles) for an 06 Shinka MT.
No regrets... well, almost none.

BB is very labor intensive...

 

why did you get an AT in the first place?

I had a 03 6 v6 loaded traded it in on the 04 about a month ago. My friend owns a Lincoln Mercury dealership and he knew I wanted an 8 so when this girl traded in her 8 for an Aviator he called me and gave me such a sweet deal on the 8 that I was like I can deal with the AT. But now I am seeing ads for 05's an what my 8 is worth and I could still be in the same ballpark with my monthly payment possibly less. What to do?
