AAAAAARGH!!! My 8 is here and I can't pick it up yet!

:p

My dealer just called to tell me my car just rolled off the truck this morning -- he called me just this past Friday and said it would be two weeks, so I wasn't expecting it this soon!

Waaaaaaahhhh! I'm miserable -- it will be at least a week before I can pick it up! I'm in the process of trying to sell my truck (I can't currently afford both)...I may have a buyer lined up, but it's going to take a week or more to work out the transaction (it's a complicated story). I could ditch this potential buyer and trade it in, but that would cost me approx. $2200.

OMG ! I don't know whether to feel happy for ya or not.

Make sure they don't have anyone test drive your car while it's on the lot!

Good luck!

Keep us posted!

I'm way ahead of you! I already had a pre-delivery letter written that I was going to fax to my salesman in a day or two; nothing too elaborate, just asking them to take it easy on it during the mechanical run-through, not put ANY type of dealer badge or sticker on it, and leave the front license plate bracket for me to install myself (if I decide to do so). I just mentioned these points to him on the phone when he called me.

I'll keep you posted.

That sucks, and hope they don't sell it on you!

My dealer had told me, either come in and buy it or well sell it to someone else and refund your deposit. Basically they don't want it sitting on their lot.

No, they won't sell it. When I put down my deposit I signed an agreement that said I'd buy it, and they signed saying they wouldn't sell it to anyone else.

I posted some over in the Multimedia forum.

They made me a lowball trade-in offer, so I said "Thanks but no thanks." I have a tentative buyer lined up for the truck...I hope that works out.

In case it doesn't, is anyone interested in a clean, solid 2002 Nissan Frontier 4WD pickup? :p
