2011 RX8 Spec Deck, Pricing, Colors - new

Just got the new 2011 spec deck & pricing (attached files). We knew there would be no real changes for the 2011, but the surprise for me is that the Aurora Blue Mica for the R3 has been dropped for 2011, too bad, what a great color! (see pages 2 & 8 of the spec deck).

No Aurora Blue? I've seen more of those than any other color R3. But then again I see one everyday!

Such a shame that a white R3 will never be seen in the states...

So since MY2009, have the only changes been fewer color choices and dropping the Touring model?

If this is last year they should of offered a special color like the Green or Gold from early Rx7. GM selling a good amount of the limited Synergy Green with is like FBS1's green. Who makes certain decisions at Mazda? Trick the damn car out and build a niche. They just don't seem to get it anymore. Really how figgin hard is it to load some limited colors into the robot? If can't be that hard.

Pretty sure. I think they've also dropped some optional packages as well. Was looking at a 2010 on their website and apparently the only way your getting a moonroof is on a GT and its standard along with NAVI etc. So basically what you see is what you get with each of the models which is a shame considering I hate leather seats but love my moon roof

the 2009, 2010, and now 2011 are all basically the same, correct?

I plan to buy a new car this weekend and the 2009 has a great price I am thinking about getting it in white

is there anything I would be missing by not getting a 10 or 11?

I'm pretty sure a series II is a series II. The only changes I'm aware of from 2009 onward have been essentially dropping option packages/colors/trims. (looking to upgrade from a series I myself)

So the RX8 sport on the Series II had no traction control?

That sounds right if I remember when I got my 2009 Touring. If you wanted HID, fog lights, & traction control, you had to step to the touring model, grand touring, or R3. In 2010 they dropped the touring model from the lineup (and white).

I really wanted a white one but didnt want leather and there were no white R3s in the US. So I looked all over California for a 2009 touring with manual transmission (and got the last one in the state).
