2007 RX-8 Sport - how much is it worth?
I'm looking at getting a RX-8; it's kind of an on-a-whim purchase. I showed up looking for a '06 Mazda3 hatch (my '94 Volvo beater **** itself) and realized that I want the RX-8 really badly. Anyway, the dealer has 2 2007 RX-8s sitting on the lot. They both have less than 25 miles on them, and the only difference between each one is color.
Now, my question is, how much should I be paying for it? The dealer is willing to let go for $17.5k, which to me seems like a fair price, but then again, I have done 0 research on the RX-8. Is this a good deal or can I negotiate it downwards some more?

Since there are "two," what dealership are you getting it from?
Please post ASAP. Thanks.
Also, is the $17.5k out the door, including TTL?
What color is the other one?
If you're speaking accurately, I'll go and buy the other one TOMORROW.
The dealer invoice price on a 2007 6MT Sport is $24,458.
So they'll either trying to pull one over on you, and you'll find out tomorrow, or you are GETTING THE BEST DEAL EVER BY GETTING A NEW RX8 FOR $7,000 UNDER DEALER INVOICE, WHICH AMOUNTS TO 30% UNDER DEALER INVOICE.

It doesn't include TTL. I think it's closer to $20k with TTL thrown in. The car has obviously been sitting there for a while, as has the other one. The other one is silver, and they just added a spoiler to it, so now they upped the price on the silver one to $18k (which made me go for the gray one, since I don't feel like spending $500 on a spoiler).
I'll PM you the dealer info. You're not the first person to ask for it, and I don't want a lurker to ****** it from an interested member.

No trade-in, right? If so, and you were out the door for $17.5K + taxes then this is by far the best deal ever. There are people out there that pay more for their econo shitboxes fercryinoutloud! Aluminum A-arm suspension, carbon fiber driveshaft, smooth-as-a-jet engine rotary, one of the best handling cars at any price, fabulous brakes, and on and on. I'm not a fan boy, but nothing, absolutely nothing out there touches this car for anywhere near what you paid. It's absolutely laughable that anyone would choose a Corolla or Scion or Civic or anything else over this. Truly.

I got 2 of the switchblade keys w/ my new 2007 Touring.
You got a really amazing deal. When I got my car in December the dealer wouldnt go below 21k for the Sport models on the lot. I ended up with a Touring for 25k.

AWESOME deal!! Wish I had waited 6 or 7 months and taken my chances now... I think the local dealer still has some 07's, but if memory serves, they're all slushboxes. Probably why they're still sitting on the lot.

P.S. I freaking love this car now that I somewhat am capable of handling a manual.
