2005 VR RX8 price check

2005 Velocity Red GT with just under 20,000 miles, for 16.5-17k. It was manufactured in 2004, so it was sold as a 2005 model, but it was registered first in mid 06. So I have a good 3 years on powertrain warranty and 2 on bumper-to-bumper. Huge plus for me.

The dealer is asking for 17,000 for it out the door. I "hired" someone local who has his own RX8 to go check out the car.. because the car is some 600 miles away from me. So I'd fly to pick it up. So in the end, it ends up being something like 17,500 (plane ticket and gas and FOOD!) in expenses just to obtain the car.

So what does that sound like? I'll be awaiting word from my agent today regarding the status of the car and if I should go through with it.

of course it's a 6 speed!

so dealer wants 17,300 out the door for it, i pay taxes here in ny so it adds up to 18,700 for the car.

worth it?

Most banks / lenders are moving to NADA as opposed to KBB. NADA seems to be a bit more conservative at times
