I took delivery of my 8 two weeks ago and I just sent the rebate form over to my saleswoman. With any luck it will go through and I can get that $500, I would like to throw an infinity basslink in the trunk and tint the windows.

Just as an update. My dealership took the rebate without asking for the flyer. I checked my online banking and didn't see them cashing the separate $500.00 check that I wrote in the event the rebate didn't go through. Like people said, most dealerships want your business so they might not push you too hard on providing the flyer.

The money is coming back from Mazda anyway, so they probably don't care.

I figure if you cut out the certificate part (and lose the instructions) then they will not know what to do with it any way - other than to take it.

Ok...couldn't wait so I called my Dealer......my salesman doesn't know ANYTHING about this rebate and is kinda questioning the validity.....although he did tell me to bring in all the information once I received it. He's not sure, though, if anything can be done 'after the sale'?!

I was able to use mine today, and I must say THANK YOU for this thread.

The dealership hadn't heard of it, and when the salesperson & manager were discussing it, their first reaction was that it was not for the 2004's. But, I had called Mazda on Monday to confirm it was ok for the 2004's in addition to any other incentive, so I was prepared with the facts, and that's all it took.

It took 3 days to get my pin in email. buweet: if you have automatic spam filtering, could it have gone to a spam folder? If I were you, I'd try submitting your request again. If that doesn't work - call MazdaUSA.

The form (e-mail) says to bring the "ad" with you to the dealership. Did yours not require that, or did you just cut out the certificate so that part was not showing?

This was supposed to be a response for a direct mail ad that Mazda sent you.

Everyone should still try to use it anyway - just in case in goes through it is free $500 :D

I think we can conclude from what one dealer told me ("we now have a $4,000 write down on the 04s") and the fact that they no longer come up on the MazdaUSA inventory search that Mazda has abandoned dealer sales support on the 04s. No more special deals and rebates - they knocked off $4,000 off the cars "for good" and now they are on their own to sell them. So the good news to us is that the $4,000 never expires and does not require MAC financing. The bads is the search go so much tougher w/o the online search. Dealers with good web sites can show inventory, but most of the web pages I have seen hurl major chunkage.

The 05s are the thing, and they will start building the 06 models (we think) in a few months. Time to move on - from Mazda USA's view.

I called MazdaUSA yesterday and they gave me a claim number which I have forwarded to the dealer. The dealer was aware of the program and is in the process of verifying my claim. The internet application said the gerber rebate was on any Mazda. I'll report back if I don't get my check.

Ok, this is what I did.

I took delivery of an 05 on 3/9. I did not know about the Gerber rabate at that time. Last week, I came across this thread and submitted the form. Three days later, I received a certificate from Mazda. Then this morning, I showed the certificate to my salesperson. He did ask for the ad because it's listed on the instructions. I just showed him a printout of the website where I submitted the form. He did not ask further and went in to discuss with his business manager. Five minutes later, he came out with a printed rebate form for me to sign and indicated on the form that the check will be mailed to me.

So far, it seems that I would receive the rebate. But nothing is real until I see the check. I will post another message once I receive it.

Well.....I received my certificate number last Thursday and went back to the dealer on Friday. They (of course) knew nothing about this rebate and had to check it out for themselves. After about 10 minutes, the salesman brought me a rebate form and had me sign it. He said they would submit it but wasn't sure if Mazda would process it as I had already purchased my '8' 2 weeks prior. I guess neither of us has anything to lose.

Does anyone know how long it takes Mazda to process the actual rebate? Will they issue a check and mail it directly to me? Wonder if they will contact me if they reject it? Anyone with experience in this?

Thanks

the rebate is good on ANY NEW mazda if the dealer has stock. 2003,2004 or 2005 no model restrictions, it's good with any rebate or incentive only limitation is that you have to use the certificate before may 25 2005.

I also called MazdaUSA and verified that the rebate is good for 'any' new Mazda.
As to the deadline, I beleive that there is a 60 day from the date the certificate is issued expiration date as our certificate indicates 06/06/05.

Again, anyone have any experience actually receiving a check from this rebate? How long and what type of communication did you receive?

I think they mean the actual $500 check, not the "certificate".
