Talking 2013 FE Calendar Picture Submittal!

Hey Everyone,

As many of you may already know for the past year we had featured the Official FD Calendar (link to 2012 calendar be sure to check the additional images), and now we are going to feature the Official FE Calendar for 2013! We need to start collecting pictures for the 2013 calendar now so we will have enough time to get it done just in time for the holidays.

So the process we are going to have is the members of the forum submit pictures that they want to feature in the calendar, then we will have a few polls and everyone will vote for their favorite ones. After we have the results we will post them up and let everyone know the details.

In order to get orders out in time for the holidays, we need to receive pictures over the next 3-4 weeks. Then the voting will begin.

We are looking for artistic shots, so even if your car is amazing it may not make it, the picture as a whole needs to look good. You can post whatever resolution you want on here, but if you are selected to be in the calendar, you must have the same picture in high resolution (at least 1GB), or else it won't look good when the calendar is actually printed. (Last year we couldn't use 3 of the winners because they didn't have high res pics when it came time to make the calendar)

When submitting your picture, please provide a brief statement saying that Polak Graphics can use the picture for the calendar (and if you didn't take the picture yourself, you need to have the photographer provide approval (if they aren't a member, please just send an email to polakgraphics@gmail.com. If you don't perform this step, your picture won't be included in the polls (last year one of the winners didn't get into the final calendar because the photographer wouldn't provide approval).

If you are interested in being a sponsor, please send us a PM. The sponsorship will help bring the price down for forum members, and the sponsor will get similar calendar space as last year.

Calendars will be ready for purchase in the beginning of December (in time to receive them and give them out as Holiday gifts).

Thanks, and let the pictures flow! Do not forgot to provide a statement saying that you took the pictures and are giving permission to use them. If a photographer took them, please send me a PM and you can then have him/her email us.

Question: If a photographer took the photo and they give their approval to use it, would their watermark be included in the printed calendar?

I took this picture myself and you have permission to use it in the calendar if it is selected:

If they want it included then we will include it. But we would prefer to remove it. But its up to the photographer to give that approval.

It would be kind of nice to have some sort of credit given to the photographers. It doesn't necessarily have to be there signature/watermark but maybe on the calendar under the photo have photographer info. Just a thought.

But here are some of my submissions... I am the photographer and give you permission to use them for the calendar, and if any of my photos are selected I will provide the file(s) without the signature.

Code Red, glad to see these posted here. I was planning on doing a photoshoot soon, but I doubt any will be picked over your submissions. Great work.

First of all those are some amazing pictures. Second we want the credit to go to the photographers, you can take a look at the 2012 RX7 FD calendars on the left is the sponsor for that month and on the right is the owner of the car, if your pictures are chosen we can have your signature, or info like you said on there as well. Definitely something we are willing to do. Thanks for bringing that up.

Thank you, I'm just fortunate to have access to such sweet rides

If you want, when you're done with your shoot and I'd be happy to help you select your finals.

First off, thanks! Honestly with having the sponsor/car owner a signature will get lost in the information or just look cluttered. So, it might be best to have the credit typed above the actual calendar portion or just below the image.

preaching to the quire my friend. The best place SB had was the airport hangar but they've put in a private parking lot with a gate/fence. Sucks, I loved shooting there.
