Pettit RX8 Performance Upgrades

Pettit RX8 Forced Induction System Stage II $4995
This Kit fits all RX8 engines both 6 port hi power as well as 4 port and autos, for use on the 4 port engines you simply put freeze plugs in the manifolds six port runners, later they can also be removed for use on a 6 port, if need should ever arise.
We will soon be posting more info to the web site, including dyno charts, install highlights and PDF instructions.

Management
We have released our Stage II kit without management because there are many choices available for this that can do the job. Many people prefer the extra control and logging available with the various units.
We are working to post downloads for these systems and we will work and try to provide maps that require little or no adjustment for each system, as well as posting feedback and recommendations from end users on our site.
To date we have tested the following systems, listed from best overall results: Interceptor X, Greddy Emanage, Unichip, Haltek, Canzoomer, Splitsecond, and Link. All these units should work equally well, once proper maps are finished.
At Pettit our goal is to produce the best possible product and with more than two years of R&D on the RX8, and over 60k miles of road, track and dyno testing, we are happy to say we have had no engine or compressor problems to date. We do, however; provide extra protection for our engines by using Protek-R fuel lubricant, it has proven to cut friction, reduce wear and extend engine life for over 20 years. We highly recommend using fuel lubricant.

Pettit RX8 Intake:
Our Intake is an aluminum upper intake manifold that mates to the stock lower intake. It redirects the six port intake runners and provides improved overall flow. This new manifold replaces both parts of the stock plastic intake manifold assembly and is specifically designed to work with our RX 8 Forced Induction Kit, furthermore; it should be a welcome addition for applications with turbos and hi boost or where the stock plastic manifold just proves inadequate. The Pettit Intake is not a direct replacement for the stock upper, but can easily be adapted to work with a flanged tube mounting for the throttle body. This setup should also allow for easy runner length tuning on modified engines.

Charge Chiller:
The Charge Chiller is the system we use for cooling the liquid intercooler on our RX8 Stage II & III Forced Induction Kit, it consists of a Pump & Tank setup with 2 Hi Efficiency Heat Exchangers, which flow in parallel to cool the liquid for the intercooler. The heart of the system is an advanced Jabsco Pump; the brushless DC pump operates continuously providing a super reliable method of circulating the liquid. It also uses magnetic drive that further isolates the liquid from the electronics making it even more bulletproof. The custom 2-quart tank provides a pump pickup that helps eliminate priming issues as well as aeration of the liquid improving flow and heat transfer. This design has proven to be a simple and reliable method for efficient charge cooling.

Universal Charge Chiller Kit:
Same as the unit above but with the necessary hardware to connect to any liquid intercooler. The perfect choice for any liquid I/C project, a simple efficient system for maximum charge cooling. This kit is sold separately.
Universal pump & tank setup

A Pump & Reservoir setup that can be used with any liquid intercooler system having 5/8” or 3/4” connections. These are exactly the same parts used in our Charge Chiller System for liquid intercoolers. This kit is sold separately.
Custom Liquid Cool Charge I/C Cores.

Our Liquid Cool Charge System utilizes a very efficient liquid core built to Pettit specs. The simple design utilizes internally fined extruded tubes oven brazed to the headers. Many designs are possible and custom cores are quoted form drawings by fax or email.

ECU Reflash Device:
The ultimate goal for engine management is to provide a reflash device for the original ECU, at this date there are several companies working on the reflash device, it will be offered once it is finished and proven.
