Who wants to caravan to Sevenstock this year?

I would like to start this with a quote from the late Blake Qualley:

"Sevenstock is really a special gathering. Where else can you find yourself standing in line for a hotdog next to the President of Mazda (it happened to me), or chat it up with Koby Kobayakawa (the guy who ran the RX-7 programs), or go out and get drunk with the guys from GURU Motorsports (visiting from Australia & NZ)...two nights in a row? Where else can you see a 4-rotor race car, see a mint-condition Suzuki RE-5 rotary motorcycle, touch the Racing Beat land speed record car? And, what other gathering are you sometimes faced with the problem of taking home a bunch of heavy/oversized loot given away at the big raffle...sway bars, light flywheels, carbon fiber hoods, etc.? Many people *profit* by going!"
This year, it looks like I will finally be able to attend sevenstock, and I would like to see if we can get some early interest as to who would be interested in Caravaning this year!

For those of you who don't know, sevenstock is held every year in the second half of September at Mazda's R & D headquarters in Irvine, CA. It is the largest rotary gathering on the planet.

If I see enough interest, I will volunteer myself to organize all aspects of the caravan for the NW group.

Who's interested?

Last half of September. Exact dates should be known by the end of May.

Update:

As of today there is STILL no official sevenstock dates announced. I unfortunately must pull the plug on my plans for sevenstock this year. I will still be making a socal trip at the end of september, but sitting around and waiting for airfare to go through the roof because Mazda cant get a date locked down is not acceptable. Sorry guys. I hope Mazda gets their **** together for next year. Thanks Bern and company for trying to get this together, even though it seems Mazda was less than helpful this year.

Mazda, this is not how to treat your most loyal customers.

It sucks. Seems 7club is going to plan their own thing, maybe the socal 8's will put something together at least

the 7club is not doing 'their own thing', trust me we'll all be involved this year because there are some RX-8 owners on the planning committee. Well, at least 1 that I know of...

Hang tight, I'm sure Bern will announce something as soon as he can.
