Does a no front plate ticket make your insurance go up?

It is not a moving violation so I would assume no.

Don't know the date when the site went out or what the timeline is on the petition, but I like the persons ideas.

Nice find. I signed up. I have a front license plate although I really hate it and have debated many times about removing it and trying my luck.

I feel your pain. I got nailed for no front plate parked out in front of my house. Course it didn't help they were patrolling for tickets on a street sweeping day. But yea $50 down the drain. So now I keep the front plate uncovered cept for when I'm going to a meet or taking pics.

I know this is the NW forum, but...

I've had no plate for 5 years here in Maryland and haven't been bothered. Last year I put the MS bumper on, and I've been pulled over twice within a month. The first time I got a repair order with no fine from a Baltimore County cop, but the second time I got a $60 ticket from a MD state trooper.

I'm seriously considering buying one of those motorized license plate holders from swift motorsports. There is just no good way to permanently install a plate on the MS bumper. But, those $60 will start to add up if I keep getting pulled over!

Been plate-less up front since I got the car in 2006. Never gotten a ticket for it but I have gotten two tint tickets since I've had the car.

I have never gotten pulled over for it and I have ran without it since highschool so about 7 years and I have been pulled over plenty of times and never ticketed. I do put it in the front window for long trips but I normally have it in the trunk

Cops are dicks here in NJ. I just as soon run with front plates just to avoid being hasseled. It sucks because it really takes away from the appearance of the car.

Dash isn't good enough, they can still ticket you. Pretty sure that it's turning into a moving violation here in WA soon, if it isn't one already.

Putting your plate on the dash just makes it obvious that it's not mounted. And will get you pulled over sooner, at least in OR. It looks natural to just not have it. Throw it in the trunk (where it belongs) instead.
