I'm new to this forum, so I thought I would say hello everyone! My job keeps me too busy to contribute much. Has anyone completed any mods to their 8 yet? If so, what is the biggest bang for the buck so far??

Another NW Member

Just purchased an '04 Nordic Green MT/GT from Lee Johnson in Kirkland. Giving up my beloved '94 VTEC Honda Prelude (no room in the garage with other vehicles.) Looking forward to having a "real" sports car again. (Last was a 240Z that lasted many, many years.)

Would be interested in hearing from others, especially anyone whose other passions include motorcycles.

Welcome! The Nordic Green is really pretty.

I'm in Oregon. We don't get as much snow here as southern part of state. Was reading the snow tires and tire sensor forum. Anyone in this forum plan on installing winter tires?

Howdy. Just picked up my black rx-8 this weekend. Best damn 4 wheel vehicle I have ever owned! I am fairly new to sport cars. My 4-wheel experience to date has been fairly practically oriented. The RX-8 is the closest i have come to the joy I get riding motorcycles. The sound is just intoxicating! I find I late shift all the time just to hear the engine! My gas milage is going to suck....

Welcome Kneepuck! Where are you from?

I think there is a rule about not complaining about gas milage! ...you'll get the "what did you expect, you bought a sports car!!" answer.

Again welcome to the madness, and enjoy!

Hey everyone, after a couple other posts I realized I should post here introducing myself. I got my Silver 05 '8 from Rus Dunmire, Monday. I'm down in the Tacoma area and working up in Redmond so I get to drive a lot So far the car’s been a blast to drive, I’m going to go through withdrawals while it’s in the shop getting the tinting installed and the stereo looked at.

Hi again! Whoops, now I see your first name is Mark, so disregard my other post about maybe being a female 8 owner!!

We had a great meet on June 11th - drive, BBQ, drive - some families came along this time, and we even went home on the ferry from Clinton. It was really a blast. Just keep your eye on the NW Forum!

Hi All. I am relocating to Seattle from Philadelphia in 2 weeks. I don't know anyone out that way and would be interested in meeting up with the 8 community out there. Please let me know what upcoming events there are and if there are any club websites I can check out so I can meet up with people and get to know everyone.

Hi shaunv74! Welcome - in 2 weeks!

Keep your eye on the NW forum. We're trying to get something going soon - see kristopher_d's post about "Which Mountain Should We Run?" Most of us are in the Seattle/Eastside/Northend areas.

Thanks for the invitation. I will definitely keep my eyes open. As soon as the 8 is delivered I will plan on joining everyone at the next event. Looking forward to meeting the west coast rotorhead community.

I just transferred from Florida to the Fidalgo/Whidbey area. Had my car shipped up here.

It is great to be back in the Northwest. I grew up here, but it is the first time having a fun car on these roads. I'm looking forward to Chuckanut Drive. For any of you that were driving from Tacoma to Burlington, and saw a silver RX-8 with either a green tarp (for the first 6 miles) or a blown out window... that was me.

See my post in BAD GUY: Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS)

Just got my RX-8 about a month ago. Nordic Green color, still trying to figure out what I want my vanity plate to say :-p I'm loving my car, though.

I live in Boise, ID. Are there any events in the area, or are they all over in WA/OR?
