Two Question?
I Got My 04 Gt Last April And I Don't Have Any Problem. Do I Need This New Flash And What Will It Do To My Car If It Has No Problems.
My Second Question Is, I Toke My Service Buletin For The Milky Oil Fix (new Dip Stick And Oil Level Gauge Tube) And The Service Person Toll Me That Mazda Is Going To Do A Recall For This. I Ask The Person If He Could Help Me Now And He Toll Me To Wait For The Recall Letter. I Think His Bs Me. So Am Thinking Of Going To Anothere Dealer. (russdumires)

The new flash changes the amount of oil injected by the MOP during certain low throttle cruising conditions. It won't hurt your car and it could prevent a problem. If you do a lot of highway driving you might see a small increase in your oil consumption.
You may have misunderstood the service guy. The dipstick problem is not a safety issue so it will not be a recall. They should be able to perform the TSB work on the dipstick at any time.
This flash is very recent and until the dealers have the instructions from Mazda, like a TSB, they may ask you to wait. If your car doesn't have problems, then you don't need to be in a hurry. When Mazda officially issues the TSB then the dealer will be in a position to help you. You might get it before that, depending on the relationship you have with the service guys.
This flash address a power loss issue that is a safety concern. Since it is related to the safety of the car, Mazda has to make it a recall. Recalls are tracked so Mazda knows whether its been done to a particular vehicle. Until the recall is official, the dealer may not have a way to log the fact that the fix has been applied to your car. Recalls are regulated by the NTSB so Mazda has to be careful to play by the rules.
Just be patient. It's hard when the people on this forum know more than the dealers do, but give them some time to catch up.
