TGIF - Thank Goodness I got Fired
All right, it may sound screwy, but I'm glad they decided to get rid of me. I love the work I've been doing, but the job has sucked for the last 3 months. And since I get 6 weeks severence, plus my vacation paid out, I have time to find another job and not just take the first one to wave bills in my face.
The only issue is, I have to go in Monday and pick up the PDA they stole from my desk while telling me I was gone. I called them on it while packing my things up, and they called me back later in the day apologizing for the "misunderstanding." Unfortunately the a@@-hole who stole it had left for the weekend already. I guess he came in to tell me my position was "no longer necessary." Oh well. Like I said, the work was loads of fun, but this last boss made the job hell, so I'm happy to be paid to leave.
