Sun Valley to Idaho Falls and back
For the first time since I got my 8 I had a chance to stretch it out a little bit. This was a nice drive that had a little bit of everything. The first half of the drive had a nice pass through a set of hills that had a lot of twisties with the recommended speeds anywhere from 45 to 60 (65 mph speed limit on this road through the high desert). The curves pretty much end when you go through the Craters Of The Moon National Monument and come down into Arco, the first city to be powered by atomic energy. Then a lot of straight road past the INEEL and into Idaho Falls. It was about 150 miles.
We picked up my wifes granddaughter and came back.
I really enjoyed the ride. Originally I was to go alone on the way over and pick her up. My wife decided at the last minute that she was going as well. It changed my driving strategy a little bit, but not much.

Since I seem to be the only one interested in this thread, I will add an addendum.
I made this drive again yesterday, without the wife. It was much more fun this time around.
