Shocks/Springs Install Help, please.
 

Has anyone local changed out their springs/shocks on their own. If so, can I bribe you into giving me hand with mine? I've got the RB springs waiting, and the Koni shocks should arrive this week.

I have changed my springs on the RX-8 last year. It is fun, and am willing to lend a hand as well. Do you have a location to perform the swap?

Yeah, I have my parents' driveway/garage.

Dannobre helped with my install - He did a lot of the work. It IS work. :) Depending on the date, I'm game. I can bring mary's air-compressor and we've got a gun for it. it'd make quick work of some of the more tedious bolts/nuts.

Sat PM the 14th :D: Darrin.. Track day on the 15th at PRI.......Got a spare room :D:

I'll take all the help I can get. Especially in the form of pointing out how stupid I'm being BEFORE I get too frustrated. What days are best for you guys? I don't have shipping confirmation yet, but I'll update with details as I get them. I can take off work early if that works best for you guys, or the weekend.

Looks like you have a lot of help coming your way, that is great! I think DMP lives pretty far from I, so uhm in that case maybe I'll pass (depending on location). :dunno: DMP is even offering to fire up some sort weber!

Speedware is where i had my alignment performed as well, seems good.

Just got back from Starbucks...all coffee'd up :D: Trying to get motivated to work on my car. I have to re/re coilovers/sways/endlinks/coils/plugs/wires/brakes/wheels/tires/HKS ign unit/ and roll bar and harness...should keep me busy for a while

I want a harness...and won't install one without a roll bar.....just in case :(

I have heard a lot of different opinions about this...and tend to believe the camp that won't install a harness without a bar...I kinda like my neck :D: And after a couple of rllovers last year at PRI..I know it can happen......

Waiting for the seats...so I won't have the bar in next weekend though....

That LOOKS right.

BTW, I'm in the no roll bar = no harness camp to. The shoulder belt is design to let you slide sideways out of the way of the collapsing roof. If there's no roll bar to keep the roof from collapsing on your head, you really don't want your head stuck where the roof is trying to go.

...assuming the roof doesn't hold...yup.

I'd love to be there but I don't think I'll be able to make it. I'm planning to do the Koni upgrade soon as well. I'm also not going to make the track day this weekend, which definitely has me bummed. Are some of you attending on Sunday?

I'm going...assuming that I get my car back together....it's going to the body shop tonight.

They need to replace the window and do some touchups to the front end.....

I will probably be doing my brakes at Darrins on Sat...I don't think I will have time to do them this week :(

fwiw - if either of you wanna show up EARLIER than 3 that's honestly okay. Just know I'll have to excuse myself for an hour or so to take pix of my girl's soccer game. If you wanna show up about noon - that's fine...get an early start, etc.

I do. FWIW, my koilovers were put-on in the Rain at Dan's place. Makes the installation go better somehow.
