RX8 lady drivers in NW?
Just curious... How many female RX8 owner/drivers are active on this NW forum?
(I did some searches, but didn't come up with anything )
I know you're out there! Who are you?
Got an '05 Titanium Grey GT Black/Chap 6MT a month ago, what a blast! Traded my '01 red convertible SVT Cobra for it, which I loved, but it was time for a change...

Hi Zoom Zoom!
I've seen a few ladies on the overall site, but not necessarily on the NW forum. I was thinking it might be cool to do a NW 8 Girlz Run, but not sure what the interest would be...
Has anything like that happened in the last year?
Have you gone to any other NW activities?

there's also Hespera and Bunnygirl in the Portland area. Hespera's been over my house and met my son and wife. havent met up with Bunny yet. Also one of my wife's best freinds( and mine actually) owns one but doesnt visit the forum. She's in the Seatle area now but normally in the Vancouver area.

We've never had a lady's drive before but there is a drive that all RX-8's do up to Mt. St. Helens, although I think they might have changed it this year and roped it with a bunch of different cars like Evo's and other cars. Can anyone confirm that one? I just became a owner last year myself and was not able to accompany the ride up there cause I had to work but if there was a 8 drive again I would shirly make a point to come.

Thanks much for the info! I saw the post about the trip on May 13th. Bummer - I'll be in Chicago then. Maybe next time!

Interesting Trade. I drove an 06 Mustang GT as part of my "cars to drive before Buying ANYTHING" plan and it was a great car, but very different from the RX. All Power and Aggression... Surprised at the ride though.
I just thought I was prolly about the only one who would have cross sopped to that extent.
Congrats on the new Car... I've been loving mine. We gotta get em' together in a parking lot though and see how they look in Pairs. Should be about identical.
Have a good one.

Yeah, VERY different car. When I bought it, it was already lowered, air intake mod, and exhaust mod. I changed to MagnaFlow because it was a little too loud for me. I added a light bar and speedster cover and it looked awesome. I think it's still for sale at Lee Johnson, if you know anyone looking for a Cobra. I had absolutely no problems with it and put 20K miles on it. My theory was that 2001 was a good year for Cobras, as it was the Chinese Year of the Snake...
My fiance died last August and part of the car was my engagement ring... hard to part with, but it was time for a change. I called it my "mid-life crisis" car, and I think that stage is not quite as radical as it was... I needed a different kind of fun...

I always tend to get emotionally involved in my Bikes, and I give em' names etc. But the RX is the first car I have felt that way about. Cars have just been what I did when the weather was too nasty or I needed Food. This is the first car I've had that's just for fun and I'm loving it. Ready for the MACHO "Tough GUY" name I gave her? "Rini" Yup, Rini. Female Japanese name, means (Little Bunny). No Fooling. He he... The RX seems much more like a nimble, quick, light, Happy car, than a tough go fast brute, so Rini stuck. Besides, just look at that grinning face, it's always having fun.
The RX is so far away from a "Wanna Be Tough Guy" car that I just couldn't give her some melodramatic ego name... I have the bike for that.
Again Congrats on the Rx and have fun.

I LOVE the name you gave your RX! It really fits - for all the reasons you mentioned. Now that I think about it and I'm lookin' at mine - they really do look like a smiling bunny! I don't think I've named a vehicle yet, but I do get attached to them for sure. (That's not totally true - our dive boat's name is "Sharkbait"!)
Well, I have to admit, when I was first reading your posts, I was thinkin'... This guy is prolly too macho for me... I just changed my mind. We'll have to meet up like you said and compare the bunnies in a parking lot somewhere.
Later,

This is for Rev...
Just wanted to clarify something I said on my last post ... "This guy is prolly too macho for me".
I meant - I initially didn't feel like carrying on a conversation with you, cuz it seemed like you were a little too tough... plus all the comments about the cutie drivers... Even though I'm a "widow", I am NOT, repeat NOT looking for someone else, so no worries!!!
I'm just loving my new car and like hanging out with similar people. Life is truly way short - have fun while you can!
