I think no one showed up to watch this one, here are some pics of the highlights. The purple FC (still powered by 13B Turbo) and the old Legacy came down here from Kelowna and kicked some major ***. No joke these guys were on the e-brakes like 150 feet before the corner entry after the straight. I shot from day to night, so I'm playing with the light a little more. See what you think:

Very nice! I took some photos of the Olympus Rally when it was here like a month ago. But these seem much more pro :D Great contrast and great color in all of these. I know those motion blurs are annoying to capture but yours turned out quite good. I need to go to one of these still, they seem really fun!

 

Those Drift Union guys with the purple cars were pretty bad ***. Drives with his eyes closed.

There's people that still get these motion blurs a lot better than I do. The toughest part for me is that sometimes the car is rotating and translating at the same time in your frame, so you'll never get the whole car crisp. In some of the picture that effect is actually kind of cool, but if that's not what you're going for then it makes it annoying.

Sam, if you want to go the ProAm finale at Evergreen is tomorrow evening. There is an open drift day in Bremerton on Sunday and then a double header on the 24th and 25th at Evergreen then PGP. These events are pretty fun and you can buy beer from them at PGP. It's real low tension because they don't seem too crazed over the competition and seems like a lighter attitude than most other grassroots motorsports.

 

Awesome, I'll have to look into the drift day at Bremerton, I know I'm gonna register for the AutoX event thats going on there on Labor day, but it would be good to go visit it before hand. Thanks for the info.

As for photography, the hardest part is trying to find a perspective that very few people have seen before :P
