200 miles on the reman motor and no issues to report. MPG seems good like the previous motor. Motor feels strong. I plan to keep the RPMs below 4k for 1000 miles and then will get an oil change. After that time to stretch her legs!

The dealership told me the plant that rebuilds the Renesis outsourced some builds to another company. They had quality control issues so they severed the relationship. They had problems with water pumps and leaking coolant which is what my first reman had issues with. My new reman was not built by the outsourced vendor and was built by the rebuild plant which is known for producing a quality product. Hopefully all this is true and I will not have any issues going forward

Been without my car for 8 weeks over the Summer. The few weeks I had it back I was in Texas visiting my father.

Thanks It is great to have my car back. The Chevy Aveo rental was less than acceptable!

Have you heard back from MM about a tuning day in Portland?

^Just be glad you did not get one of the crappy remans like I did! Is your motor in yet?

Didn't someone say that the remans were being rebuilt by convicts for a while. Now they're being rebuilt by trained professionals? Dondo and Anijo know what's going on with that.

how can one tell if the new motors were built by the outsource company or not?

Oh, I thought you guys knew? Perhaps the only way to tell is whether or not you've been back to the dealer for another one within 2,000 miles....
