This is what I got with my original enginei had the car for three to four month know and for the first time I but one quart of oil on the engine, and its my daily driver. I drive one way to work about 13 miles six days a week. that about 900 to 1100 miles for one quart of oil and yes i do get 19 to 21 mpg. I normally get about 290 miles on a gas tank my best was 320 and my worst was 264.)

But with my second engine, I don't think am getting close to this number any more!!!

I will check on my next couple of Tanks!!!!

 

So my car had a pretty rough hot start yesterday, has me feeling a bit paranoid.

Also, did you know our cars are kinda slow when you have 4 people + a full trunk of luggage in it, are running the AC and are climbing Steven's Pass? There were a couple times the friend I was letting drive felt the need to drop it into 5th.

I always drop into 5th when climbing a grade, it's just easier on the engine.

 

So someone drove into my mazdaspeed bumper yesterday and left a nice black band across the front and hurt the clear bra. Booooooo

it was like a tire rubbing against it.. like they drove right against my car somehow.. both the top and bottom bits of the bumper were hit and the clear bra is all rough now. i'm trying to look up the part number for the mazdaspeed tow hook relocation bracket and the tow hook itself so i can add them when i get it fixed.

 

Wow man, that really blows... and good luck with that part, Mazda Motorsports might be the best place to browse a list to find it.

i did find the tow hook relo bracket to buy. now i just need the jdm mazdaspeed tow hook but not sure of the part number..

 

Sorry to see your bumper like that Mike. Didn't hurt the paint did it? I think the aftermarket tow hook for the new Miata works . Send Jeff an email and ask him which one he got.

 

yeah me too. i think it's just the clear bra. good time to repaint and clear bra the bumper again and get the tow hook in there i guess....
